MARGINAL RD

Marginal Road was a street developed by the New Jersey State Highway Commission in 1948 to provide a new terminus for streets that were truncated at NJ 3. The road also provides access to westbound NJ 3 from Ridge Road and Park Avenue.

For most of its length, there are no actual houses on Marginal Road; however, a few were built. For years, there was no noise abatement along the street, but a noise wall was added as part of the project to improve NJ 3 in the vicinity of the Passaic River bridge.
