Delafield Avenue runs from Van Ness Avenue to Marginal Road. However, most of the block between Woodland Avenue and Marginal Road was vacated over a century ago to make room for Rutherford Field, now Tamblyn Field. Prior to NJ 3, the street ran through to Rutherford Avenue, where it connected to Delafield Avenue in Lyndhurst.
