Tamblyn Field

Tamblyn Field is Rutherford's oldest recreational park, along Woodland Avenue with an exit onto Delafield Avenue, and bounded by houses on Daniel Avenue and Gouverneur Avenue.

The park was known as Rutherford Field for the first part of the 20th century, as Rutherford High School played football and baseball here until the mid-1950s, when their games moved to Memorial Park. In 1958, the park was dedicated to Gerald Tamblyn, whose woods in the West End became part of Memorial Park.
