The field is named in honor of H. Taylor Bell, who helped found the league in Clayton as well as the league in Elmer, several miles away. He also served 38 years as a Little League district administrator.
Taylor Bell Field hosted the 2007 New Jersey Little League state finals, at which Randolph East won the title after Jackson Township had rallied from the losers bracket to force a showdown game.
