Sylvan Street is on the east side of Rutherford, one block east of Ridge Road. It begins at Park Avenue and Glen Road, and heads south toward Lyndhurst. At one time, it ran through to Rutherford Avenue, but since NJ 3 was put through, it has ended at Barrows Avenue. The first block of Sylvan Street, between Park Avenue and Spring Dell, is now a pedestrian mall.
