Highways of Bergen County, New Jersey
Bergen County Road 33 is the previous designation given to most of CR 501 in Bergen County (from Englewood north). The designation may have also been assigned to the lower sections of the highway. None of that roadway is designated CR 33 any longer (though the sign image above stood for years on the Tenafly-Cresskill border and there is still a CR 33 marker on CR 501 in Norwood).
However, a short stretch of roadway in Ridgefield Park, primarily serving an industrial and retail complex and the entrance to a newly developed section of Overpeck County Park, has now received the designation. In the NJDOT straight-line diagrams, it’s referred to as “Section 3” of CR 33.
