- Capacity: 6,000 (approx.)
The baseball field at Texas Tech is located near all the other athletic facilities, including the football field and basketball gym, as well as the Lubbock Municipal Auditorium.
The field, which was dedicated to Dan Law in 1988, features one of my least favorite configurations, an artificial turf infield and a grass outfield. Here are two more examples of it, one of which has since been demolished.
For four years, Texas Tech hosted an independent pro team, the Lubbock Crickets. They them moved to the fertile ground of Ozark, Mo.
