Quick Facts:
The Richmond County Youth Complex consists of five baseball fields, one of which has a grass infield and is used for high school games. The remaining fields in the complex are adaptable for games at various pitching or base path distances, and can also be used for softball. The day I visited the park, three of the fields were hosting a tournament involving high school baseball players, while the other two featured men’s softball games. There are football and soccer fields on the other side of Travis Avenue, but I do not know whether these are considered part of the same complex.

A monument near the concession stand, at the head of the parking lot, honors Jonathan Ray, a member of the Richmond County Baseball Club who died in 2009 at age 16. The Club, an independent travel and tournament team outfit, is the primary tenant of the complex.
