The Cape League Team Not on the Cape

The field has room for about 3,000 fans in bleacher seating flanking either side of the press box and also out in left field. An old, utilitarian scoreboard convertible between football and baseball has been replaced by a video board that shows a scoreboard display except for a pre-game hype video and a quick introduction of a home team batter.

As for the field itself, it is unusual in that the foul lines are on the grass, but there is a dirt track down each line in foul territory. Instead of the usual clay, the infield appears to be made of cinders, a la the old running tracks. This has reportedly given more than a few players raspberries when they slide on the surface.
