The baseball field at Saddleback College, a junior college in southern Orange County, became the home of a Western League team for two seasons, as the Mission Viejo Vigilantes took the field here. The club was part of an expansion for the 1997 season but folded after 1998 along with the Bend Bandits. Two new teams came in for 1999, in Sacramento and St. George, Utah.
