Interestingly, the last use of this field by a minor league team, in 1962, was a team that had already been relocated twice during the year. A Dodgers farm club opened the year in Panama City, moved to Andalusia, and wound up the season in Ozark before the team and the league folded at seasons end.
The park got one last fling in pro ball in 2002, with an independent league team. However, the facility continues to see quite a bit of use. The day I arrived in 2015, the field was hosting the championship round of the Dixie Majors World Series, a division of Dixie Youth Baseball for 15- to 18-year-old players.
