UNION AVE
Union Avenue is reputedly one of the oldest streets in Rutherford. Said by some to be an old Indian trail, it runs across town from near the train station to the Passaic River. It is named for Union Township, from which Rutherford split in 1881. The county road was labeled as Highway S-32 but is now designated (but not signed) as County Route 34.
