Keller Engineering merges with another home heating oil supplier, Fred P. Depken of Hasbrouck Heights. The merged company, and the team, are known as Keller-Depken Oil.
John Dolan of Elks spins a perfect game against Roadrunner 4-Jun, winning 8-0. The only Roadrunner player not to strike out at least once in the game is John Yenkosky, who finishes the year without a whiff in 58 trips to the plate.
