Jones Electric compiles the most dominant regular season to date, winning all but one game on the way to the town championship. Their only loss is by one run in their next-to-last regular-season game, against Springs. Along the way, 12-year-old hurler Tom McKenna tosses two straight no-hitters, and then pitches a third consecutive shutout in the game that clinches the league title.
