I never wanted to go to Florida, but I broke down in August 1993 and visited a friend in the City of Sunrise. We went to a Marlins game. To save time (but not sleep) getting there, I took the Auto Train to Sanford. My favorite Florida attraction is the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral. On the other side of the state, in St. Petersburg, is the home of the Tampa Bay Rays. They eventually became my hometown team after an early 2019 move.
