Highways of Bergen County, New Jersey
Bergen County Road 89 is High Mountain Road, which begins in Haledon and continues northward into Franklin Lakes. The portion of the road southeast of Ewing Avenue is part of primary route 3, so it is listed there instead.
At one time, the road continued into Oakland, but the construction of NJ 208 curtailed access, and the building of I-287 turned the very short stretch of the road in Oakland into a dead end. That short snippet of road is now CR 4A.
