Quick Facts:
USA Stadium in Millington, 20 miles up Route 51 from Memphis, is so called because it hosted the United States Baseball Federation and its training programs, including Olympic training, from 1986 to 1996. (Their training facility is currently located in Cary, N.C., near Raleigh.)

The stadium USA Baseball left behind in Millington continues to get regular use by local teams, as well as hosting the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II World Series since 1992. The stadium has also hosted the Gulf South Conference Championship since 2002. Its grounds are also used for other events; for instance, the day I visited was the first day of a Native American powwow. There is also a regular rodeo event at the park.
