Cheesequake Baseball Club

Quick Facts:
Cheesequake is a section of Old Bridge Township. The unusual name apparently comes from a Lenape word meaning “clearing”. The name is used for a nearby state park, and until recently was also used for a rest area on the Garden State Parkway (since renamed for local rocker Jon Bon Jovi).

The Cheesequake Baseball Club, a private organization, uses this four-field complex as its home site and occasionally hosts tournament games. I attended one game here early in the 2007 season. The fields were in rough shape, but at least the players got a chance at an early workout. I returned a few years later, in December, and took these photos.
