Quick Facts:
I am not sure when Carl Lewton Stadium was built. I do know that the stadium hosted a team in the Kansas-Oklahoma-Missouri League for seven seasons right after the end of the second World War. Jeff Gelski, a former local sports editor, advised me in 2006 that Carl Lewton was an umpire in the K-O-M League and went on to become a teacher and cross-country coach in Carthage.

Today, the park is used for amateur baseball. Very few improvements have been made to the facility, although it appears the press box was added on after the initial construction.
