This is one of the outer fields at the Fenway South complex near Fort Myers, Fla., at which I saw a Gulf Coast League game. The Red Sox play most of their GCL games on the main field, JetBlue Park, but the day I attended, that field had taken a bit of rain and the club chose not to chance tearing it up. A decent number of fans actually showed for the Saturday morning game I watched, in which Red Sox No. 1 draft pick Jason Groome was the starting pitcher. It also helped that the Twins, whose complex is only a few miles away, provided the opposition.
