Wall(s) Field

Walls Field is the smallest of Rutherford's recreational parks, bounded by Eastern Way, Highland Cross, and Meadow Road.

Many residents think Wall Field gets its name from the retaining wall that keeps Eastern Way from crashing down into the park, but the park was actually named for former resident Harold Walls. "Walls' Field" became truncated to "Wall Field" in general use, and the Rutherford Recreation Department issues permits in the name of "Wall Field".

The park was upgraded around 2011 to include two softball diamonds for Minor League and Tee Ball use by Rutherford Recreation Department / Little League Softball, as well as replacement of the restroom facilities.
