The second game of the Town Series went into extra innings as Bill Wilde of Elks and Joe Grehan of Kiwanis pitched scoreless ball for six innings.
Jim Boisits got the win in relief as the Elks scored four runs in the top of the eighth, the key blow being a bases-loaded triple by Andre Alston. Indyk was 4-for-4 in the game and Wilde had two of the Elks nine hits. Wilde and Boisits together limited Kiwanis to three hits.
Kiwanis, coached by Bill Brooks, had won the National League pennant in a dramatic finish that provided a 14-2 record and a one-game lead over Park Exxon.
