The other American League winner was Naborhood which edged Lions 3-2 as Tracy Walker knocked in the tying and winning runs. Phil Mazzini and Nick Tria also had timely hits and Rich Kuprat got the win. Vince DeCesare pitched a strong game for Lions and Pete Froehlich had two hits.
