Kiwanis on Sunday got two runs in the top of the first inning and that was enough to win a pitchers duel between Richie Koppel, hurling for Kiwanis, and Mike Monaco for Pastori, with Kiwanis winning 2-1. Ron Ryder got both runs for Kiwanis on a two-run homer in the first frame.
Koppel allowed two hits and Monaco one. Jim Kerwin caught for Pastori, and Wes Marion for Kiwanis. Pastori scored its run in the fourth.
