On Thursday Boiling Springs jumped off to an early lead and forged ahead again in the sixth, but were unable to hold the advantage and lost to Pastori 7-6.
In the top of the first Boiling Springs got three runs. Pastori failed to score until the fourth, when they got one. In the fifth Pastori went ahead with three runs. The Springers regained the lead with three tallies. But in the bottom of the sixth Pastori scored three to win.
Gordon Quinones and Bill Schwarzlow shared pitching and Jim Kerwin caught for Pastori. Richie LaBonge hurled and George Roseman caught for Boiling Springs. The losers outhit the winners 6-4.
