The Elks and Lions went at it hammer and tongs on Thursday, the Elks scoring four in the top of the first inning, the Lions coming back with six and adding another in the second. But in the fifth the Elks scored five and added six more in the sixth to win 15-7.
Tommy Simone pitched for the Elks and gave up three hits, with Kevin Mahl catching. Brian Stanton started for the Lions, relieved by Greg Reulbach and then by Joe Vai. Dave DeJoia and John Coll did the catching.
