The Lions came back on Sunday, after being edged out by the Legion on Saturday, to belt the Elks pitchers for fourteen hits and win 11-2. Jeff Reulbach hurled for the Lions and gave up but two hits. Dave DeJoia and John Coll shared the catching tasks. Bill Zak and Allan Zak shared the pitching for the Elks, with Doug Marion and Kevin Mahl catching.
A two-run lead piled up in the first inning by the Elks was wiped out when the Lions scored one in the second and eight in the third. Then in the fourth they scored eight more to sew up the win.
