On Sunday afternoon J.C.C. met Boiling Springs in a National League game. Played under cold gray skies, it was a thriller right to the end when Boiling Springs stopped a J.C.C. threat to win 3-2. Fiore D’Ambrosio of the Springs, Mike McKenna of J.C.C. hooked up in a hot pitchers duel. Fiore was relieved in the 6th by Gil Steinberger who stamped out a J.C.C. rally.
