JCC barged right back into the lead on Monday with a 9-2 4-inning conquest of Kiwanis, who managed but two hits off Harold Schweizer.
The winners scored eight tallies in the opening inning off Steve Cox on six walks, hits by Schweizer and Richie Butcher and an error to ice the abbreviated contest early. The losers scored in the second on Ry Alyeas single and a couple of infield plays and in the fourth on a pass, a single by Alden Smith and a grounder.
The win was Schweizers seventh of the year against two defeats.
