In Wednesday’s feature game Pastore’s Cole threw his second no-hitter of the season, a 15-strikeout 9-0 classic which went the six inning route at second-place Rotary. Joe Gusera and Billy Hands, although giving up but three hits, walked 16 men and hit a batter between them.
Pastore bagged the game in the top of the first with a brace of runs scored on Coles single, a walk and Ron Hough’s one-bagger, Nels Wiloff’s single, four walks and an error gave the victores five more in the second, and four walks in each of the last two innings produced single tallies in those frames.
