Pollaras no-hitter, the first in Rutherford Little League history, enabled Rotary to swamp a strong Pastore side, 10-1, in Wednesdays National League game called at the end of five because of darkness. Their four first-inning runs were more than Rotary needed, but they went on to count deuces in each of the next three frames on eight hits and nine Pastore errors.

CORRECTION: In last weeks Little League writeup we erroneously referred to Pollaras no-hitter vs. Pastore as the first in Rutherford Little League history. It was the first Little League no-hitter of 1952.
Harry Usher turned in the first local Little League no-hit game last year. His, furthermore, was a perfect game over the full six-inning route.
We regret our error.
