In what was probably the sloppiest game played all year, the Elks outscored Pasquin 18-11 on Tuesday, although outhit 15-6.

Eight Pasquin errors at crucial points turned the game into a farce after the losers had come from behind to nullify a six-run deficit and nullified a good pitching effort by Richie Fitzgerald.

Rich Smith, Bob Lecoque, Duke Matawa, Fitzgerald and Don Heine each had a pair of safeties. Jimmy Arata had three.
