A 10-10 tie which was called by League president Paul Devlin at the end of the eighth inning, saw Pastori fight from behind to come up with a three run sixth inning and knot up a game in which they had looked to be clearly walloped.

Kiwanis led off with eight runs in the first frame and, after Pasttore had countered with four in their first, the Kiwanis added another pair in the second to grab a seemingly insurmountable lead.

Pastore came back with one in the fifth though, and tied things up with a magnificent last ditch rally in the sixth.

With two on base and two away, Bill Wunner tripled for the Pastore nine, and crossed the plate himself on Lambi’s single.

Lambi, making only his second start in the Little loop, had a terrific day at the plate, clubbing two home runs and a single in three official at-bats, and driving in the tying tally with his sixth inning safety.
