Last Thursday, it was the Kiwanis thumping the Junior C of C 5-0 behind the two hit mound work of Harry Usher.
Kiwanis scored a single run in the second and put the game on ice when they pushed across three in the third. The damage was done when Tom Vanderveer walked, Bob D'Zdiadosz singled, and Mort Lefkowitz was on via a force of Vanderveer at third. The runners advanced as Ross grounded out second to first, and the bases were loaded when Usher walked.
Another free pass, this time to Burns, brought the lead runner home, and Ray Reardon singled in two more tallies.
