At the opening ceremonies, special recognition was given to Anthony Frisina of Industrial Concrete Construction of New Jersey, who, along with subcontractor J. Catanese & Sons Concrete and Masonry, accomplished much of the work on the new dugouts at the Major League field.
The overhaul was the first for these dugouts since their installation in 1952, prior to the 1953 season.
