After 20 years, Pasquin Motors opts not to sponsor its original American League team any longer. Naborhood Pharmacy assumes the sponsorship.
Gaffney Electric leaves the sponsor rolls, as Jim Gaffney is forced to devote his resources to raising a family. His sons, Steve and Chris, play in the American League in the 1980s. Critchley Candy becomes a sponsor.
Keller Engineering finishes the season with a perfect 15-0 record, the first such mark in league history. The euphoria evaporates quickly, though, as Rotary captures the Town Series in two straight games.
