When NJ 6 was built through town in about 1940, it utilized a half-mile-long stretch of Piaget Avenue, between Paulison Avenue and Day Street. The remainder of the street is maintained by Passaic County.
I have not yet found someone who can tell me definitively how “Piaget” is to be pronounced. I have heard pie-AGE-it, pie-ADGE-it, even the very French pee-ah-JHAY.
