American Legion Field

Quick Facts:
This not-unusual facility for American Legion baseball became a professional park twice, for six years in the 1980s with the South Atlantic League, and in 1995 when it hosted a club in one of the two seasons of the Atlantic Coast League’s existence. The park sits next to a similar football stadium that is used by the high school teams in town.

As of 2005, Legion Field was being used by a club in the Coastal Plain League, a college summer league, but that team eventually moved to Francis Marion University east of town.

I was not able to get into American Legion Field on my 2005 visit.
