An old concession stand and press box building behind the plate was replaced around 2000, with some of the funding coming from former Major League Baseball player Rick Cerone, a North Jersey native who was then a part-owner of the independent Newark Bears club.

The Little League facility also includes a Minor field that was installed in the 1990s. Expansion of the property was limited by the railroad right-of-way as well as by a graveyard dating to the 1850s, just off the third-base line.

In an unusual alignment, the field faces just west of due north, creating some nice sunset views for spectators along the first-base line.
