State Highways of New Jersey

NJ 187 is the portion of Brigantine Boulevard in Atlantic City that was bypassed when NJ 87 was routed onto Huron Avenue in order to make access easier for traffic coming from Absecon via US 30.

The highways are now under the jurisdiction of the South Jersey Transportation Authority thanks to the construction of the Brigantine Connector. That project also had the effect of shortening NJ 187 by about 400 feet, as it no longer connects directly to Absecon Boulevard.
