State Highways of New Jersey

NJ 162 is an unsigned state highway, the relocation of Seashore Road to accommodate a bridge over the Cape May Canal, an Army Corps of Engineers project. Seashore Road continues in Lower Township on either end of the state highway. The state designation misses Route 9 by about 500 feet.

At the top of the bridge, someone with an interesting sense of humor has erected a sign dividing “North Jersey” from ”South Jersey”.
