State Highways of New Jersey


NJ 157 is an early alignment of NJ 4 (now US 9) in Absecon. The highway originally followed Shore Road for a good distance, but the road was eventually bypassed and the existing US 9 bears the rather imaginative designation of New Road. South of the White Horse Pike, Shore Road has reverted to Atlantic County maintenance.
