State Highways of New Jersey

Prior to 1927, NJ 18N carried traffic northward along the Palisades from NJ 10 (now NJ 5) in Fort Lee to the state line. Much of the road became part of NJ 1 under the 1927 state highway legislation. Eventually, NJ 1 north of the George Washington Bridge became US 9W. The short stretch of state highway between NJ 5 and US 9W, completely within Fort Lee, is now designated NJ 67.
